You meet a lady, classy and stylishly dressed.
With really expensive human hair, designer bags, shoes and jewelleries, iPhone (I don't know the models oooo), perfect make-up and an anglicized voice and accent to seal her looks.
She's always on social media.......
Her timeline is an e-studio.
It's an internet museum.
With pictures of her always kissing imaginary something because her lips are always in a pout.
Always snapping in stylish and classy backgrounds. Using million dollar homes, heavenly sitting rooms and designer chairs as backdrop.....
Always displaying tasteful, expensive clothes and warrever.......
But are these appearances reality?
Truth be told, I've realized that most people live their lives by pretence and impressions.
Maybe, because people respond to transient, superficial things more.
People are attracted to looks and presentations than the real person behind the mask.
We live in virtual reality and nothing is as it seems anymore.
But the fact remains that you'll keep pretending to cover previous pretences, just like one keeps lying to cover more lies.
It's more expensive and draining to live life by impressions.
People, especially women borrow to look chic.
Most are bankrupt because they have to maintain a ridiculously expensive lifestyle.
Must you wear Zara shoes and Michael Korrs bag when your stomach grumbles for food?
Why fix N100,000 hair when you're living in a public yard?
Why borrow sandals and weave-ons and make-ups to appear chic?
Why struggle to look and dress like Kim Kardashian when in reality you're starving to make instalments for a bag you bought on credit?
Then, when relationships gets closer to home, you become discomfited because your humble background does not tally with your flamboyant, wannabe lifestyle.
Let's assume you have 7 to 10 human hair (different types) which you bought for 50k-100k each. It would amount to roughly 500k to 1 million, which can get you a piece of land somewhere. An investment that will definitely appreciate in value within the shortest time!
I'm not against a woman looking good if she can comfortably afford it.
Please spend it if you've got it.
Rather, I'm against frivolities and pretentious materialism.
Time to stop the pretence biko!
Prioritize and make plans for the future so that you can actually afford that bourgeois lifestyle.
Be true to who you are!
People have lost opportunities and helpers because of fake life and pretense.
Do not be ashamed of who you are.
Everyone has a story.
Hope this wakes someone up.
I'll be back!!
